Good against evil, honestyand courage against power and wickedness. There is a lot of action, somuch so that action eclipses the investigation part of the movie as thestory moves to its climax. Curtness of the script has been compromisedwith an overdose of action. There is little suspense in the movieexcept for very few scenes. Vishalhas completely toned up and flaunts his six abs showing his tautmuscles. But unfortunately, his stunt sequences are uninteresting andold fashioned. Batches of thugs keep reappearing in stunt scenes, andthe originality that one associates with Vishal’s stunts is lacking.Nevertheless, few chase sequences have made up for the same. There islittle about the story other than action to mention in the movie. Theclimax has been unnecessarily stretched with a long sermon making themovie seem drab.Sathyamhas smart casting keeping in mind that it is a bilingual. The castingalso has a Telugu touch to it. While Vishal is made to look serious andshow his performance in fight sequences, Kota Srinivasa Rao and RaviKaalai play their negative roles with ease. Upendra, his debut inTamil, has also carried out his grey role well. Nayanthara, as ajournalist, falls in acting skills when compared to her earlierperformance in Billa. However, she has retained herglamour doll image. Senthil and Brahmanandam (Telugu comedian) bringsome comic relief now and then.
